Essay Writing Outline - 3 Easy Tips
Essay Writing Outline - 3 Easy TipsAn essay writing outline can be one of the most important aspects of writing an essay, especially for those who are writing for school. But since there are so many things to think about when you are creating a well thought out essay, you may find yourself stumped when trying to come up with an outline for your own thesis. Some people don't even realize that they need a writing outline. In most cases, it is just one or two important things that will help them when writing and getting their essays ready for submission. In addition, this can make the difference between writing a great essay and one that is not quite up to snuff. So what should you look for in an outline?First of all, try and stay away from short outline formats. For instance, just throw a couple sentences into a paragraph and call it a day. Or you could even get together a little paragraph, type in the information, then attach a hyperlink to the end of the article. The point is, you don 't need to spend a lot of time coming up with an outline, and you definitely don't need to spend a lot of time on one.Secondly, if you do need an outline, don't make it too long. What is important is that your essay writing outline is brief and to the point but not so short that you will have trouble remembering it.Finally, while an outline can make your writing flow, it won't necessarily make it well organized. You want to avoid too many ideas running around in your head when writing. This will make it harder to follow, and not only will you not remember the writing, but you will also likely get it wrong if you are under time pressure. So how do you create an outline? Here are some ideas that you might consider. Maybe you can even add some of your own if you have a good idea. After all, you are making a difference in your own essay. The right way to come up with an outline is by followin g the tips given here. Don't fall into the trap of wasting time thinking about your outline and doing it the wrong way. Follow this guide and create the outline you need without having to go back and edit the piece later.
Getting A High Quality Semester Reflection Essay Sample
Getting A High Quality Semester Reflection Essay SampleFinding a high quality semester reflection essay sample can be difficult. This is because of the limited number of essay samples that are available online, and the fact that they are often sold as for a price much higher than what you would pay if you bought it in person at your college bookstore. When looking for an online essay, you want to take a few things into consideration. These include getting one that is original, and one that is professionally done. If you choose a program that does not offer online essays, and you do not select one that is done professionally, you will have a very difficult time getting the results that you desire. What you want to look for in an essay sample is one that is original and is written for a college essay contest. An essay sample that is not original is simply plagiarized work that is being offered for sale. A high quality semester essay should be written by someone who is well-versed in the English language. This means that you should not find essay samples written by professors or other college instructors. To get this, you will need to find a sample that is produced by someone who is writing on a certain topic and is trying to put together a cohesive essay. If the essay sample does not reflect their subject matter, you will find that the sample itself is not original. The quality of the sample is determined by the editors of the company offering the essay. To find a sample, you should take note of how many different editors have helped to edit the sample. If you are choosing a sample based solely on the number of editors who have edited it, you will find that you will not get the kind of writing style that you want, as well as the kind of essay that you need. One of the best places to look for a good essay sample is from a recently completed essay orfrom a recent essay contest. The reason for this is that if a school has just started an essay contest, this is usually an excellent opportunity to find a good essay. The editor will usually have gone through and edited hundreds of essays for the student who participated in the essay contest. This makes it easy to find a sample that is of high quality. If you are getting a good set of essays, you will then be able to get the exact kind of essay that you are looking for.

How to Start a Blog for Your Business in 3 Easy Steps
Interested in learning how to start a business? Did you know you can start a blog and turn that into a business? Ive been blogging for over three years. I have two blogs Elna Cain to help with freelance writers and Twins Mommy to help moms make money blogging. I get emails all the time asking for help on starting a blog for their freelance business or as a way to earn an income and grow their brand. If youve been thinking that you want to start a business and a blog, now is the time! A blog is versatile. You can use it to promote your service coaching, freelance writing, Pinterest management, etc. and you can use it to grow your audience, brand, and income. Starting a blog has also been the best decision Ive ever made. Im able to stay home with my twins (they just started school!) and earn a living doing what I love writing and blogging. If youre willing to put in the time to create a successful blog for your business, then you can work from home and enjoy doing what you love to do! Some of my favorite service-based websites are: Innovative Ink this is my own writer website ðŸâ¢â Miranda Nahmias Miranda is a VA Nesha Woolery Nesha is a freelance designer Carrie Madormo Carrie is a work at home mom and freelance writer Work From Home Happiness Ashlee has a wonderful site to help you work from home These blogs help bring in income as a side business or full-time business. Ive had so many people email me and tell me theirpersonal story for wanting to start a blog for their business, but they just dont know how to do it. One thing is for sure: its essential to have a website or blog to help attract potential clients (or readers for your blog). Its hard to have a successful business online without a website! Note: the term blog and website will be used interchangeably. I view a blog as part of your website and you can base your business off a blog too. So, if youre ready, heres how to set up your website in only 3 steps. Its super easy, techy free and if I can do it, then I know you can do it too! 1. Figure Out What You Want to Blog About When you start a business, you need to refine your message. This is what your foundation is for your business. Its also your blog niche. Your blog niche one that can ultimately be your paying niche as a blogger or freelancer is an important first step to having your own blog. This can be hard for many people. It was for me. When I started blogging on Innovative Ink (I later moved it to Elna Cain), I wrote about what I was learning freelance writing. It was sort of a no-brainer and.it stuck! But for Twins Mommy, I struggled to find the right content for the right audience. It took some trial and error and different niche topics to finally stick to topics centering around growing your blog. If youre going to use your blog as a way to generate leads to your freelance business, I suggest you: Write in your paying niche, or Write about your service For example, if your paying niche involves Pinterest marketing (your service is Pinterest management), then you can blog about Pinterest and marketing. Similarly, if youre a freelance writer, you can effectively help other new writers by writing about the business of writing (can I say writing one more time?) ðŸâ¢â Well, how do you find your paying niche? What Do You Have Experience In? Use what you know. If your background is in finance, then you can start and grow a business in this topic. You may not like it and it may be the reason why you want to quit your finance career, but you can leverage that experience and knowledge in the beginning to get your blog off on the right foot. What Do You Want to Learn More About? Maybe theres a topic that youre interested in learning more about. For me, the more I learned about marketing my business, the more interested I became in writing about that as my paying niche. If you have a passion for camping, WordPress, entertainment, etc., then use that as your starting ground for blog content. Write about it on your blog and see if its a good fit for you. The beauty of blogging is that you can pivot to new topics easily. Is Your Blog Niche Profitable? If you want to be a freelance writer, then you need to pick a profitable niche. Niches like these pay a writer hundreds of dollars per post. To find out if your niche topics are profitable, you need to do some research. Go to Facebook groups and see what peoples struggles and challenges are Look at job boards to see if companies are seeking writers in your niche Search on Twitter, #(your niche) to see what people are sharing This can give you an indication if your niche is popular and needed online. You can also search for popular blog topics and create your niche from that list. ConvertKit has compiled a list of common blog topics that both professionals and not-yet professional bloggers write about: 2. Choose Your Domain Name Your website name should be representative of your blog and business. For me, I decided on Innovative Ink as my service. It seemed to represent what I do. I later realized that using that name may not have been the best option. Why? Because for new people seeing that name, it almost looks like a content agency or big business with multiple staff. It doesnt show that its just me. I also used a local country domain (.ca) and in hindsight I should have used a .com for a global audience. Thats why later I switched to ElnaCain.com! This uses my name to brand what I do. When I show you how to start your blog using my special link at Bluehost, getting your new domain registered is absolutely free! When thinking of your domain name: Make it easy to say and spell Dont make it too long (ex: Kellycanwritealldayandallnight.com) If in doubt, use your name (if you can get it). Variations of your name include adding writes, biz, blogger, blogging, business, content, etc.. One thing to consider when choosing your domain name is to also think about your social media names. Yes, I said social media. Having a blog gives you the opportunity to share what you write, and to connect with others. You do most of your connecting on social media like Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. So when thinking of your domain name, check to see if its available for your Facebook page or Twitter profile. Continuity means people can easily find you. 3. Choose Your Blogging Platform This site, Elna Cain, is a WordPress.org site. This means its self-hosted. This means I have complete control over my content and my monetization strategy. If you want to run a blog or even offer a service like freelance writing, then having a self-hosted site is your BEST option in the long run. This gives you the capability to start a business, look professional and be credible. And while you can use other platforms besides WordPress.org like Squarespace or Wix there are some important reasons why you should choose WordPress at Bluehost: Theres a big WordPress community out there. This means if you have a question, you can probably find the answer in a blog post or YouTube video. Most sites are WordPress sites (which means your future clients are probably using WordPress too) Its much easier to customize a WordPress self-hosted site with plugins and themes WordPress the company itself recommends Bluehost as one of a very select few best and brightest hosts. And the best part is, you can set up a WordPress blog in under 10 minutes! Its super easy too! 4. You can even start your freelance writing business for under $60 (if you decide to choose the one year plan instead). Thats amazing! Just think about when your parents were your age and how expensive it was to start their own business. They would need to rent out space, buy business cards, and buy ad space in newspapers or on TV. Thats a lot of money for a brand new business! When you compare that to having your own website that can potentially generate thousands of dollars per month, for about $100 or less, its a no-brainer! So, you can see that starting a website for your blog or service-based business doesnt have to be daunting or expensive. Once you choose Bluehost, just follow this easy and quick tutorial on how to start a blog for your business! Lets get started. Just click on over to Bluehost and follow along! For more help, I have a video tutorial on starting a blog just for you! Follow along with me! Step 1: Choose Your Plan After you click on the big green button that says, get started now your next page shows the plans. There are three main plans Bluehost has for you: basic, plus and prime. If you want to host multiple sites (i.e. have more than one blog or business online) or need unlimited storage space, you can go with the plus plan from day one. Let me tell you, creating sites is so addictive, Ill bet you cant just stop at one! And if youre planning on getting domain privacy (highly recommended), the SpamExperts and SiteBackup service, check out the prime plan because its included for free! But if youre just getting started, or if cash is super tight, thebasic planhas all you need to get going. Its perfect for new freelancers and bloggers. You get one website (and a free domain) with plenty of website space to get your business up and running. Step 2: Choose Your Domain Remember the domain names you were choosing from before? This is where you can check to see if its available in a dot com. I highly suggest you get a dot com rather than a dot something else. Thats partly personal opinion, though. If your domain isnt available, pick a variation of your original domain name. For example, if elnawrites wasnt available I would maybe choose one of these options instead: elnaswriting elnawritenow elnaswritingbiz elnacanwrite Remember that your domain name needs to represent what you do as a blogger or freelancer. You can use your personal name as a domain too. This might be the best thing if you feel that you may want to pivot your business some day. For example, you start out as a VA (virtual assistant) but later learn that most of your VA tasks are writing and you change to be a freelance writer. If you use your name then you can switch that easily. But, if your domain name is rebeccatheVA, then that will be a bit more challenging. So, really sit down and think about your ultimate end goal. What is the main service you want to provide and can you see yourself doing this long-term? Step 3: Account/Package/Payment Info/Password Once you pick your package, the next thing is filling out your information. Go ahead and fill out your account information and choose the package you want. Remember, you save the most moneywhen you choose the 36 month planand you dont have to worry about paying for hosting for the next three years. One thing to note, you can use a credit card to pay or use your PayPal account. Next, you need to set up a password for your Bluehost account. Install WordPress Bluehost makes installing WordPress seamless and pretty easy. After you set up your account password for Bluehost, you can pick some themes. Personally, I like to do this on my WordPress site, so I will skip this. From here, Bluehost directs you to start building your site. You get to customize your WordPress site for business. At any time you can change the options later on. For example, you can decide the layout of your homepage. Do you want a static page or a blogroll. I suggest having a static page like my Innovative Ink website. It welcomes prospects to your site and they arent bombarded with recent blog posts. Bluehost installs the default WordPres theme if you dont pick one right away. But, when youre ready you can start customizing the theme you end up choosing. You can add a logo, change the header image (if your theme has one) and create your business pages. This is the default WordPress theme and on the side is my menu to customize this theme. Logging Into Your WordPress Account Bluehost has made it super simple and easy to log into your account. Theyve created a beautiful control panel and with one click of a button you can login into your WordPress site. Congratulations! You are one step closer to getting your website up online! Are you excited? You are learning how to start a business as a side hustle! Over time it can be your main way of living like me! Getting a website up is one of the first steps for a new freelance writer. This is your home base and is where you lead prospects to so they can hire you!! Yay! Now what? MID-YEAR ASSESSMENT Management Finance Assignment
MID-YEAR ASSESSMENT Management Finance - Assignment Example One of the behavioural issues that have been noticed within the case study is that of resistance from employees. It is a common observance within an organization to have employees refuses to work with the new system or processes. In some cases employees regard the new system as redundant or unnecessary altogether (Attwood, 1996). In such cases usually employees feel threatened by the new system and feel that it challenges their methods of working and makes them feel redundant. In the case provided it was observed that the supervisor of department D Janet was extremely unhappy after viewing the performance report. This behaviour shown by Janet shows that she felt threatened by the report and refused to accept the system altogether. In some cases employees tend to agree to the new budgeting system but ignore its implementation. Employees tend to assure executives of the organization that they would commit to the processes of the system but in reality tend to hold reservations about it, causing reluctance in the implementation of its implementation (Woldring, 2010). As seen in the case out of all the directors only one of the director was interested in its implementations whereas others were uncertain about it. This caused the directors to become uninterested in its effective implementation. Another behavioural issue that can be seen the company is confusion amongst the employees. While developing a budgeting plan it is vital to communicate with employees to investigate the factors that were involved in formation of the actual budget. Since communication between the executives of the company and the employees was not clear misunderstandings are created during the formation of performance reports (Poornima & Charantimath, 2011). This in turn causes employees to disown the report claiming that information provided in the report is baseless and has little or no significance when placed under practical circumstances. Furthermore, there was no training provided to the employees prior to implementing the new financial control system. Direct implementation of the new system caused a great deal of confusion amongst employees who were taken aback on receiving their departmentââ¬â¢s performance report. Changes to be introduced in the Existing Report System In order to ensure that the current budgeting system is more easily accepted by the companyââ¬â¢s employees it is vital that the management removes uncertainty and insecurity that the company employees have regarding it. The first and foremost step that the company could take is to initiate a training program for its employees. The main aim of the training program should be to increase the knowledge and awareness of the employees regarding budgeting and comparative analysis. The training sessions must inform employees of the exact advantages that budgeting and comparative analysis would bring about to the company. The process of training must start with the top executives of the company. Obtai ning the consent and backing of the top executives would help in the implementation process (Finkelstein et al., 2008). Moreover, knowing that all the organizational executives share the same vision convincing employees at the lower level makes it a lot easier. Once the companyââ¬â¢s executives have been briefed it is then time to convince employees working at the lower level

Explain the difference between a change in demand and a change in the Essay
Explain the difference between a change in demand and a change in the quantity demanded. List and discuss at least 5 factors tha - Essay Example Thus the factors that determine demand can broadly be categorized into two categories; price determinants and non-price determinants. Presence of these two distinct determinants of demand gives rise to two different but equally important concepts; change in quantity demanded and change in demand. 1. Change in Quantity Demanded. A change in quantity demanded refers to the variation in consumersââ¬â¢ demand of a commodity due to a change in its price, other factors remaining constant. Thus, the only factor that causes a change in quantity demanded is price. In case of change in quantity demanded there is upward or downward movement along the same demand curve. The change in quantity demanded is depicted in fig 1. As the price falls from p to p1, the quantity demanded increases from q to q1 and there is movement along the same demand curve from A to B. A ââ¬Ëfallââ¬â¢ or ââ¬Ëincreaseââ¬â¢ in quantity demanded due to the change in price is also termed as ââ¬Ëcontraction ââ¬â¢ or ââ¬Ëextensionââ¬â¢ of demand. Fig 1: Change in Quantity Demanded 2. Change in Demand. A change in demand refers to an increase or decrease in demand that is brought about by a change in the other factors, except price. Thus a change in demand is a result of non-price determinants coming into force. ... Unlike, change in quantity demanded, a change in demand entails a shift in the demand curve; either to the left or to the right of the original demand curve. The change in demand is depicted in fig 2. There is an increase in demand when the demand curve shifts from D1 to D2. On the other hand, decrease in demand occurs when the demand curve shifts from D1 to D3. Fig 2: Change in Demand There are numerous non-price determinants of demand that lead to a change in demand. Some of these are discussed below: 2.1 Tastes and Preferences. Tastes and preferences play a pivotal role in shaping the demand for a product or commodity. In fact, the endeavor of any marketer of goods or services is to alter the tastes and preferences of the consumers so that they like the product that is being sold. The tastes and preferences of consumers are affected by numerous factors like advertising, promotions, cultural environment, government reports etc. For example, if the findings of a government funded re search study suggest that ingestion of carbonated drinks like Coke or Pepsi may be harmful to the human body, people may refrain from drinking these products and this may lead to a decrease in demand. 2.2 Prices of related products. There exist products in the market that may be substitutes or complements to the product in question. It is reasonable to expect that the prices of these related products have a bearing on the demand of a particular product. It is worthwhile to mention that if the price of a substitute changes, the demand for the product under consideration moves in the same direction as the change in the substitutes price. For e.g. in case the price of Coke increases, quantity demanded of Pepsi, a

Barrack Obamaââ¬â¢s Campaign Speech Essay Example for Free
Barrack Obamaââ¬â¢s Campaign Speech Essay Communication can be defined as the act/art of exchanging/transmission of thoughts or information by the means of speech, signs, written means and the behavior. It was the occasion of the Americaââ¬â¢s Presidential candidates Campaign when the Illinois Senator Barrack Hussein Obama delivered the speech announcing his will of seeking the democratic nomination for presidency in 2008. It was on Saturday evening (19. 06GMT) of February 10th 2007 on the Venue of Springfield, when the Senator Barrack Obama now the Elect president of United States of America delivered the persuasive speech used on this focus paper. In this Speech it excellently exploits the elements of speech. First, The candidate Senator Obama by that time was very prepared for the occasion against the deliverance of the amazing speech towards the audience. His introduction of the speech appreciates all the audience present and recognizes their vital role they do play for that occasion. For instances He starts by thanking all the people for their coming and gives the reasons why the occasion was very important to every individual. His introduction captures the attention of the audience giving time to deliver his message. Part of introduction was ââ¬Å"â⬠¦itââ¬â¢s humbling but in my heart I know you didnââ¬â¢t come here just for me, you came here because you believe in what this country can be. â⬠Secondly there is use ââ¬Ëof being yourself ââ¬â¢ while giving the speech. The Senator gives personal and professional examples and life history precisely, possibly helping him to gain support to emphasize his own points of the campaign. The self-example messages matches with the destined purposes of the Campaign. Thirdly, Obama stayed relaxed throughout the speech delivery session, very composed and maximal prepared for the outcome. He remained focused on passing the message. He too employed other means of speech presentation such as movement/ walking, gestures. In addition, the Senator used the Natural humor and avoided depicting/ pinpointing an individual from the Audience and he didnââ¬â¢t over do it thus maintaining the audience on move of the speech. The other element that I figure was the Body plans and hand positions. I keenly observed the movement and gestures of the Senator. He moved within the three positions ââ¬â the right, the center and the left- and the hand position was well managed and maintained throughout the session. He didnââ¬â¢t hide behind the lectern and he excellently maintained the eye contact with the audience throughout the speech session. Lastly of the elements of speech, the Senator was very keen and well informed about every detailed he presented. He used the environmental reference that surrounded the Venue appropriately on his speech. He understands what is the past, currently and the future happening of the immediate ground. He keenly observes the audience to an extent of identifying some schoolmates but he didnââ¬â¢t mention their names. ââ¬Å"â⬠¦friends that I see in the audience. â⬠. Speech Accomplishment: The speech is accomplishing the real mission of the Senator while being elected as the president of United States of America. He explains out what he will accomplish for the country when he will be in power. He gives new hope the people of America; to believe that ââ¬Ëyes he canââ¬â¢ bring peace where there is war, bring hope where there is despair, reach what is more possible and build a more perfect union. The Senator aspires to establish convergence place where the farmers, teachers, students, businessmen, laborers, young and the aged, male and female, rich and the poorââ¬â¢s clamoring can be heard. The speech intends to accomplish the enlightenment of the US people the existence of presumptuousness in the present government calling for the change, in the faces of the depressed he will increase the employment opportunities in order to lift the millions out of poverty, Welcome the immigrants to the shores of America and experience justice and righteousness around the globe. The Senator contemplates the currently status of the US and around the globe and promises to accomplish missions such as to quench the anxiety of the feel of rising health care costs and the illusions of the stagnant wages, to bring the war in Iraq to an end by bringing the troops back home by march next year and give Sunni and Shia to resolve the problem and bring out peace, minimize oil dependency that is threatening Americaââ¬â¢s future, instill an ethic achievements in children by setting high standards of learning providing the resources for them to succeed, recruiting the new army of teachers and giving them the batter pay and more support for the exchange of accountability, making colleges affordable and investing in the scientific researches, to reshape the economy, strengthen the communities, to cut bureaucracy by use of technology, free America from the Tyranny Oil, solve the crisis of global warming by innovation and by capping the greenhouse gases, give incentives for the businesses, and destroying the deadliest unguarded weapons. The Speech was a persuasive, since it is persuading the people of America to elect the Senator as the President of America by voting for him in the year 2008. It was evidenced in his speech as persuasive where he says ââ¬Å" â⬠¦If you will join me in this improbable quest, if you feel destiny calling, and see as I see, a future of endless possibility stretching before us, if you sense as I sense, that the time is now to shake of our slumber, and slough off our fear, and make good on the debt we owe the past and the future generations, then I am ready to take up the cause, and match with you and work with you to finish the work that needs to be done. â⬠The main aim of the speech was to persuade for votes that resulted to the delivery of the speech. But on the process he enlightens the people the critically analyze and keenly make judgment for the best next US president. I can also say it is informative to some extent that it elaborates the incidences that have been taking place and the others that are likely to take place in the United States of America. Audienceââ¬â¢s reaction towards the speech was very applauding during the speech presentation and indeed the audience was very pleased with the amazing speech, contented that Obama can make out to be the best candidate to be elected and very disappointed with the previous disguised government. The speech disclosed the factual facts to the audience, which was the quenching of the long thirst, the beginning of the new hope and the change on which the Americans can believe in. At some points the multitude nodded their heads as a sign of concession/ agreement to what was spoken, and at some point the audience was pity as a sign of how sympathetic and pathetic the situation was in as per that time. The pattern of speech was sequential, topical and spatial. The speech was sequential since it has the introduction, the body and the conclusion as the structure of the speech. Obama welcoming the audience, he presents his speech (The body) where he factually speaks of what he should do when he will be in power, he identifies what to change and or improve, what to innovate and implement, what changes he is able to bring, what was the defects the previous government, and finally he give out his conclusion of expecting the people of America to vote for him if they want the change they can believe in. The speech was also topical since Obama Generally emphasizes on the Change that that Americans can Believe in. He bases his own speech on change and frequently mentions change throughout his speech. Despite of having other minor topics such as speaking about education, the economy, war, resources and the political history his main topic was about change. To some extent but not very, the speech was descriptive. It entails what to be done, how, when and by whom. Obama described in his speech for instance that the only source for change in America is people, the only peace in war at Iraq lies between Sunn and Shia, the only way to prosper in future is by doing the present that needs to be done. Also Obama gave the vivid description on how to solve some of the long-lasting problems in America. For instance the problem of global warming can be solved by innovations that can tap the greenhouse gases, creating more job opportunities, investments can solve the problem of poverty, practice of justice and establishment of converges to listen the clamoring of each and every one in the US. In conclusion, Communication is the transmission of information from one person to another. The occasion of the speech was during the campaign of the Presidential candidate of America on Democratic Party at Springfield. The utilized elements of speech were such as being prepared for the speech presentation, being yourself when representing speech, being composed and contented when delivering speech, body plan and hands position, gestures and movements. Accomplishment of the speech was to convince the audience to vote for Him/ Change. The type of speech was persuasive as he persuades for the votes, the reactions of the audience was a sign of relieve or being relieved if Obama was to be the president and indeed he became. Finally the pattern of the speech is Sequential, topical and somehow spatial. References: 1. Public Speaking an Audience-Centered Approach By Steven A. Beebe and Susan J. Beebe.
